PROJECT 1: EXPERIENCING CONSTRUCTION
This project is for students to experience, document and analyse construction process. Through this project, students in a group of 7-8 will be able to learn the basic principles and procedures of construction process through real-life project. We will be able to understand the sequence and coordination of construction at site, and expose to construction technology responding to site context. Not only that, students will be able to demonstrate their understanding and kowledge of construction, material and technology thorught documentations. Last but not least, we will be trained to produce manual sketches, drawings, and detailing relation to existing construction and be able to explain them.

The second project is somehow a continuation of the first project, where it involves constrction detailing solution for Project 2b inb Architecture Studio 2. This project allows the demonstration of knowledge and understand of constrcution and application from prior project. Emphasis in producing related manual constrcution drawsing for STEEL and/or TIMBER detail and specification. Technical knowledge is viewed as something separate from design. One of the aims of this assignment is to develop an awareness and understanding of the strong inter-relation between these 2 areas of study. It is a success for design to address issues of appropriate methods of construction, integration of structure and the selection of materials whilst addressing the many other complex issues that are part of the design process. This assignment allows studen to demonstrate some knowledge of construction, materials and structural theory in a small scare design project.
